Ok- I'm not the best cook. But with three hungry little kids asking for food all day I find myself constantly in the kitchen. And I think I'll take a minute to pat myself on the back and say that my cooking skills have improved ALOT over the past couple years. Now I have all these little hands that always want to help me cook. I think its pretty cute- so I usually let them climb on the counter and help out. It wasn't until Carmyn announced at her preschool Mothers Day program that her favorite thing to do with mommy was to "help her cook in the kitchen" that I realized how much it meant to my kids that they get to join in. And lets be honest- I'm smart enough to realize that the more they help now, the more self sufficient they will be in the future to cook their own food! :)

I even put Carmyn in charge of feeding the baby while I make dinner- gotta use your resources!
