BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

We are moving!

Chad got a great job offer with a company called Sonic Innovations, they make and sale the latest technology in hearing aide's. He is going to be the regional sales manager in .......... drum roll......... Kansas City, Missouri! Ok- I know - not my first choice of places to live- but it's a great offer that we can't refuse. The more we learn about Kansas City the more excited we are getting to move there: It's the Bar-b-que capital of the nation (KC masterpiece), church history central, Pretty cool looking malls, great water ski lakes, The Chiefs/Royals/and Wizards, and who knows..... maybe we'll find the wizard of OZ! :) He starts on Feb. 3rd, does 3 weeks of training, then the company is going to fly us out there twice to do some house hunting, and we will load up the UHAUL and move the first week of March. CRAZY- I know! It all happened so fast. He just got the job offer this week so they are definitely not wasting any time. The company offered Chad a great Salary, plus commissions, a new vehicle of our choice, gas reimbersment, full benefits package, a spending account, a cell phone, and a computer. Chad is pretty excited since he has been working in the family excavation business for the past 12 years with absolutely no benefits, and unwanted mandatory overtime every week. I am excited because I get to stay home with Carmyn and be a mom! ( I'm worried that I might go a little nuts though) - So there ya have it. Our whole world is turning upside down in a matter of weeks- I'm just going to hold on and enjoy the ride!

9 months old

Carmyn turned 9 months old yesterday and the one word I have to describe her is BUSY! She has her daddy's determination and energy and there is no stopping this little girl from doing whatever she wants to do. She started crawling at 7 months and now her crawl has turned into the super speed crawl. If she see's something across the room that she wants- she takes off! She cruises along the furniture all day long and loves to grab everything she can get her little fingers on. The baby gate at the top of the stairs is her favorite item to climb on- she holds on to the bars and shakes the gate as hard as she can and squeals with delight (especially if Hooch is on the other side :)). She says mama, dada, baba, and a bunch of other gibberish we don't understand. We are working on sign language with her- she understands milk and diaper change- but she looks at us like we are crazy with all the other signs. Hopefully she will start grasping that better soon. Hooch is her best friend and Carmyn loves to pull on her tail. Hooch is extremely patient and calm around Carmyn and I'm so thankful for that! She can't stand bows or hats on her head so this picture is a rare occasion- she actually kept the bow on for a couple of hours! She loves kisses and to be chased and tickled. She is the light of our lives! It's amazing how much love such a sweet innoccent little soul can bring to a family. We love you Carmyn Jayde!

The climbing gym- what a great date!

We went to the IROCK climbing gym with some friends from our ward- the Keye's family- and decided that it was not only a great date night activity, but also an awesome workout! My forearms are still burning as I type :) We took our kids and took turns watching them while the other was climbing. It was a great way to challenge yourself, have fun with friends, and enjoy a relatively cheap date! So if any of you are running out of ideas for date night- try it out!
