12 days of Christmas

Can't wait to start this new tradition!

My friends and I made these cute 12 days of Christmas advent calendars last night. Each box has a different activity for the family to do for the 12 days of Christmas. Our 12 days goes like this:

1. Invite friends over for games and wassal 2. Make breakfast for dinner 3.Decorate the house with paper snowflakes 4. Dance party to Christmas music 5.Fly home to Utah wearing Santa hats (OK only Carmyn will wear one) 6.Take an egg nog break 7.Make Christmas cookies and take them to our grandparents 8.Read the Christmas story and set up a nativity scene 9.Watch Christmas Vacation and drink hot chocolate 10.Put pajama's on and go on a drive to look at Christmas lights 11.Tell stories of our favorite Christmas around the dinner table 12. Go to the Horne family Christmas Eve party

Here is Lacey's calendar- Way cute!

A good way to eat those veggies

The only way I can get my child to eat her leafy greens- Hide them in a smoothie!

I don't really have a recipe. Usually its just whatever I can find in the fridge. Today's ingredients were: yogurt, frozen raspberries, half a banana, a little milk, some ice cubes, and the secret ingredients-a handful of spinach leaves, some flax seed, and a little benefiber - she gets backed up sometimes :).yum!

Thanksgiving weekend

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! I love getting together with family and I LOVE all the food. Chad and I are lucky because both of our moms make amazing Thanksgiving dinner feasts. We never have to have an "off" year of not so good food ;). This year we spent Thanksgiving with the Horne's at their family cabin at Causey Estates. The food was amazing and it is such a fun relaxing getaway to go to the cabin.
We always get to celebrate my little bro and Chads little sis's B-day's right before the holiday too. This year I was thinking - "man I'm glad I'm not having a baby right before the holidays- that would totally stress me out"- no offense to those of you about to deliver as we speak!(Megan).
Chad took the guys in the family rabbit hunting ( bunny blasting ) on Saturday, and I spent my day shopping with my mom. I finally got a haircut- I don't dare go to anyone new out here- who knows what kind of doo I could end up with!
Last but not least- Chad and I got to go to two movies together without Carmyn, and free babysitters too- something we don't get to do in Missouri!
It was a great Thanksgiving!!
