The KC Half Marathon

Yeah- Angela and I ran our half marathon yesterday! We've been running for awhile now and it was so fun to accomplish this together. Since this was our first half marathon we took it easy and made a goal to finish in 2.30 - which we did. What we didn't plan for was all the hills! It was a brutal course! Not to mention only 40 degrees outside......brrrrrrrr! Here's some pics that Angela's husband Matt took of us:

Thanks so much Angela for letting me run this with you! And a big thanks to her husband Matt who came to babysit Carmyn every morning that Chad was out of town- what a guy! I'm going to give my running legs a rest for a little while, but I definitely want to do more in the future!

P.S. So the winner of the full marathon finished right before we did- he totally sprinted past us at mile 12 - WOW- he was impressive!
